The rustic notes along with the traditional style of a Qawwal make this number very dear to my heart! The changing tenor of the song and the wonderful lyrics that reflect the mood of one missing her beloved is a treat to the senses!

I wonder what energy levels the singers must be having to make this song so very vibrant...

As such I don't believe in special days but I do appreciate celebrations... A way of commemorating things...

Today is the woman's day and this song I dedicate to all women of the world! Numerous roles that a woman plays as a mother, daughter, wife, sister,friend, teacher and most impotrantly a contributor of colour beauty and vibrance to the world...I salute them.

A simple dedication to all the women...

I like this song for its classical overtunes and cinematography and may be it reminds me of myself and every women who goes through all these motions of life playing different roles...

There are many versions sung by even lata and many celebrity singers! However, the local flavour nd style I feel are what are an integral part of its rendering and thus none can beat the traditional rendering... enjoy the beautiful number..

... I feel the desert sands as they hum this beautiful melody... the camels and the colour of rural Rajasthan....beckoning you... PADHARO MHAAREY DESH REH!!!!!

I love this song and although I listened to it in Telugu first I prefer its original in Tamil!!!

Another of Illayaraja's Compositions... with splendid lyrics and the feel...

It also show cases the Indian poetry and how beautifully a woman is portrayed... The description of her ear rings and the subtle love thats expressed in cherishing a lady is what made me love this more apart from Ravathi and Kartik's action ( Janak Raj hasnt much to do here)..
